Greeleaf Barn Styled Shoot

Updated: Dec 28, 2020

I don't think I've ever come across such talented people who specialize in a wide array of skills - florals, pottery, attire, being a total natural at modeling... that's you, Dylan and Kayla. I recently had the honor of partnering with a handful of Tulsa's finest for a styled shoot at Greenleaf Barn, a gorgeous wedding & event venue located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Our vision for this shoot was for it to embody all things classy, elegant and romantic— with a little bit of pop. The handmade pottery added a unique dynamic you don’t usually see in styled shoots and a classic white on white look. The neutral tones added subtle accents as well yet really drew attention to the blooming florals and vintage candle sticks, which we loved! Our idea for a pop of contrast fit right in with Oklahoma’s vibrant fall colors, and Josie O’Learys florals really made that come to life. And of course, the handmade table just blew us away by how rich the color of the wood was paired against the accessories. Each piece complimented another to create this romantic, timeless look. I really wanted to capture the emotion and passion between two models. Dylan and Kayla, who are married, just get lost in each other's eyes during a shoot like I’m not even there! I knew they had a strong relationship from prior experience of working with them and they fit the mold so perfectly. The love between them just bursts at the seams in photography. I just knew they’d rock this shoot and they did! My personal style is to capture raw, real emotion between two people madly in love. Those spontaneous moments of laughter no one else sees. There’s nothing I adore more in photography than showing the world what love is through my lens.

Thank you again to all the talented vendors who made this come to life.
